Where to Eat at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii
A stay at Disney’s Aulani Resort is a bucket list trip for many but if you’re someone who frequents Disneyland or Walt Disney World, the food scene could leave something to be desired. This guide will help steer you in the right direction for meals and snacks at this dream Disney resort.

Disney’s Aulani is a Disney Vacation Club property and they feature a variety of DVC and non-DVC, regular hotel rooms. Some rooms offer a typical mini fridge and coffee maker, some offer a kitchenette and some rooms feature a full kitchen. Rooms with more kitchen facilities will definitely increase the cost of your stay but it is worth running the numbers to find out if you would actually save money, in the end, by making some of your own food.
Full disclosure: the food in Hawaii is expensive! No matter if you plan to eat out for the entire trip or stock up at a local grocery store, you WILL pay more than you are used to at home or on most other vacations.
We tend to love to eat out on vacation to get a taste of local cuisine and to treat ourselves so we booked a regular room for our first time at Aulani but we quickly wished we had booked a room with a kitchen. A lot of the food was mediocre and not worth the cost so we would have preferred to make breakfast and some lunches in our room and save eating out for select meals, poolside drinks or a fun latte in the morning. So even if you’re like me and you don’t usually feel the need for a kitchen on vacation, Hawaii might be the expectation.
However, whether you have a kitchen or not, you’re likely to eat out at some point while you’re at Aulani. Here are some on-property and off-property dining options and what to get or skip at each of the Aulani restaurants.
